Developer and publisher Valve has recently attempted to introduce a new Free Trial feature on Steam, which allows players to play games for 90 minutes without restriction for free, aiming to allow players to choose games that suit their preferences and eliminate the need for refunds. However, some games have caused players a lot of trouble due to poor optimization and other issues. Nowadays, more and more games have been released on PC, including first-party Sony games that have landed on Steam. This policy aims to protect players from wasting their money on games that do not meet their expectations or are incompatible with their hardware. Players who frequently purchase PC games on Steam are likely familiar with its user-friendly refund policy: within two weeks of a game's purchase and with less than two hours of gameplay, players can request a refund on the platform unconditionally.
